It is never too early to begin the training. The puppies start to learn from the day they open their eyes. Moreover, training few weeks old puppy is far easier though tiring.

A small puppy does not require a leash as it cannot run that fast. The basic puppy training involves, making it toilet trained, eating not more than sufficient on time and sleeping in the crate

 

Ease Out Mannerism

 

Small puppies want to ease out just after having their meals. So as soon as they finish their food, rush them outside the apartment. This way they will learn to urinate outside the house.

If you do not have a backyard garden, then you may use the newspaper trick. Spread the old newspapers and allow your little puppy to urinate on it.  If it has eased out some where else in the room, put the newspaper over it and let the puppy investigate it. In due course of time, the puppy will recognize the smell of the newspaper and will urinate over it only. But while doing this please keep the unread news stock far away from your puppy’s reach.

 

House Training

 

Never encourage your month old puppy to sit on your sofa, couch or bed.

Reward the puppy when ever he does anything you tell him to do.

Start teaching his name from the day one. The names with double sounds like Goofy, Bonzy etc. are easily accepted by the dogs.

Never lose your patience. Training a puppy needs lot of time love and patience. You can go through a number of books and can contact the breeder or a professional trainer to get the tips to home train a puppy.

 

Innocent Brat

 

The problem begins when your cute little innocent puppy starts becoming a brat at the age of 4 months. At this age these pups are capable of running much faster than any kid or many adults. A four month old pooch can easily bang a small kid on his backside. Train him to obey you. Use single and simple command for a specific purpose.
