Grooming of dog is as important as his training. A well groomed dog not only become impressive in his looks but also adheres to good health. Grooming of the dog does not require you to spend unlimited hours and dollars at vet’s place. A chosen few routines if adapted habitually does it all for you and your dog.

The grooming begins with cleaning. A dog not properly groomed becomes prone to many illnesses and deceases.

 


Hair Cuts: If you do not have time to spend on keeping up your dog’s hair, get them cut! Trimmed hair ensures less accumulation of dust particles over the dog’s body hence avoids frequent bathing sessions. Hair cuts and trimming is unavoidable in breeds such as poodles.

 

Hair Brush: Brushing your dog’s hair makes his coat look healthy and glowing. Most of the dogs love to get their hair brushed. It removes tangles and mats and makes the dog appear tidy.

 

Nails: No one admires dogs having their nails scratching the surface. With the help of a number of nails cutting tools available in the market, you can maintain healthy nails of your dog by clipping them off as often as once in a month!

 

Ears: Clean ears of the dog ensure his good health. Wax, excessive hair growth and dirt inside the ear should be removed as soon as you get the first sight of it! Other than that, the ears should be regularly checked for any foul smell or redness.

 

Bathing: Make your dog bath every week if he enjoys doing so. If not, force him to bathroom at least once in a month. A nice scrub and shampoo helps you a lot to keep up his coat’s glow.

 

 Dental Care: Dogs are not born with bad breath! Their teeth also require regular brushing, using dog’s toothpaste only.
