Dog Bathing
Many of the dogs do not enjoy the bath! And that makes their bathing procedure troublesome! The short haired dogs are easy to tackle when it comes to bathing. They can be washed in the kitchen or in the bathroom. The hose attachments also help in accomplishing the task with great ease. The expertise is required when dealing with a long haired dog. It requires minimum of two people to get the job done. Thus the first step to remember in dog’s bathing routine is mark the holidays on your calendar.

Step By Step Bathing
- Brush and scrub your dog nicely, not harshly to take out all the dead and shedding fur from his coat. The tangles, mats and knots should be removed before wetting the dog. The tangles and mats if not removed, get more stiff and tight after the wash.
- Then wet the dog nicely from his neck to tail. Avoid water getting into his nose and ears. These delicate areas should be dealt afterwards.
- Apply any gentle tearless dog shampoo. Though many people use human shampoos or even dish washers, which actually make the coat rough and dull. The correct shampoo to be used for your dog can be best prescribed by your vet.
- Then comes the rinsing time. Rinse thoroughly each and every part of the dog with lots and lots of water. There should be no shampoo left on the dog’s coat.
After the bath, wrap the dog into a towel and soak water from every part of his body. Then dry water over his face, near eyes and in the ears. Finally make use of a hair drier preset on a moderate temperature to dry the dog’s coat. Make sure to hold the drier not too close to the dog.
- Bathing along with the dust and dirt also removes the natural oil present in the dog’s hair. It is a very good practice to brush your dog’s hair after bathing him. This will stimulates the circulation of body oil thus making the coat glow!
