You can also check for breathing rate and can compare it with the normal rate, that is, 15 - 20 per minute. Checking the temperature regularly and focusing on the behavioral activities can help dog owners to control the problem of distressing in dogs.

 

Many veterinarians have observed that while a dog feels distressed it shows change in the color of gums, eyelids and tongue. To control distressing in your dog, you can start providing medications and as prescribed by the doctor can also opt for injecting medicines. If you face such a situation, you should try to spend most of your leisure time with your dog to make it feel comfortable and should take care of his proper medications. Once the dog feels comfortable with you, it may recover soon from the problems of distressing and might not require keeping on medicines for a longer duration.

Usually, when a dog shows similar symptoms, owners leave their dog alone and keep it confined to a particular area, which is not good. In addition to proper medications, balanced diet also contributes a lot in helping the dog recover from distress. Cleaning the dog bed everyday, engaging it in playful activities and spending maximum time with your dog can help it to make progress faster than other dogs. Along with medications and balanced diet, you should also take your dog for regular veterinary examinations to keep at bay from distress and other health related problems.
