Are you also facing any kind of behavioral problems with your dog? If yes, then surely your dog is keen for breeding season, but will you agree to leave your dog for infection through breeding. Neutering is a method used for sterilization of female or male dogs. These days, neutering has become a common way to avoid any kind of infection in pets. Numerous dogs die every year because of various infections that occur while breeding. Neutering not only changes the overall personality of the pets, but also makes the pet more fun loving. When neutering is done on puppies, they recover comparatively faster than adult dogs because the organs that are removed during surgery are not developed and so puppies heal and grow very rapidly.

In the neutering process, dogs belly is cleansed and shaved off so as to make a notch made between scrotum and base of penis. Firstly, the veterinarian removes both the testicles and then straps up the spermatic cords. After that, the surgical part is clogged with stitches and surgical adhesives are used. With the help of neutering process, your dog will not be able to produce any sperm and will have less testosterone levels. However, neutering has become a very regular practice, still there are some risks involved in the surgery. Before the process, you should make sure that your veterinarian checks the heart beat and lungs of your canine and should also administer the anesthesia level before going in for surgery. Sometimes, veterinarians also recommend extra blood tests for dog to help it recover fast. Once you have neutered your dog, it will be able to concentrate more while training and will concentrate less on competing with other dogs. After neutering, your canine will become more gentle, smart and calmer than other dogs. Although, neutering is preferable way to lower behavioral problems, still it cannot eliminate the problem up to 100%.

The non-neutered dogs have higher risks of getting prostate cancer, but in case of neutered dogs the chances of prostate cancer become negligible. These days, most dogs are facing problem of infected or swollen prostate glands and these conditions can be very agonizing for your pet in the later stages. Moreover, if your dog is neutered the possibility of testicle tumors also reduces to a great extent.

Usually, dogs can undergo this surgery once they are six months and above, but in some cases, owners require consulting their veterinarian. Moreover, before the surgery, you should make sure that your dog does not eats or drinks anything as per recommended by the veterinarian. Once the surgery is done, owners need to take care of their canine and check whether there is any kind of swelling near the stitches. If some swelling is felt near the surgical area, then it becomes important to seek advice from veterinarian and follow his advice. So, if you also want to get rid of the behavioral problems of your dig, get your pet neutered as soon as possible.
