What is the best food for your dog?
There is no standard answer to the question of what the best food to feed your dog is. But still the point stands that if you do not feed your dog the best diet possible the dog will be undernourished with symptoms like coats of hair that are coarse, slimy and blistering skin and a persistent itching of the coat. They may have more calories but still less nourishment, therefore, basically without sufficient information cushioning the many types and elements of food you feed your dog the point is useless.
Most bad dog food are the ones that get their basic nutrient component from corn while the good food get its basic nutrient component from meat and chicken like mutton, poultry, beef and of course chicken. Whenever any food has a disparity of phosphorous and calcium, the health condition of the dog is in direct jeopardy. Now let us look at meat; it has in its nutrient value an elevated phosphorous but a squat calcium level. If you give you dog an incessant supply of meat the disparity will inevitably widen and become unhealthy. Therefore be keen to keep focused on the diet based on meat and not wholesome meat foods for your dog. It is with this regard in mind that diet with grain nutrients are of poor nutritional value for any dog and one should be weary of them.
If you miss to take the advice about meat based dog foods then dog ailments such as skeletal dysfunction, oral illnesses, skin issues and gastrointestinal matters will be the order of illnesses for your dog. The constant point we need to keep in mind is that we are basically considering the dogs that are generally healthy and have no any kidney, thyroid or other ailments. And as such the point about meat based diets still stands. When you want to find out the best overall diet above the other meat based foods, it just has to be chicken based foods. The other ‘meats’ are good but the gamut of amino acids and fatty acids are in variance to the chicken proteins.
Veterinary experts say that if a bitch is not given in the correct ratio termed omega-6 to omega-3 (5:1) of fatty acids her breeding will encounter problems because the dog would have fallen short of the 5% required maintaining the basic weight for healthy gestation. And therefore the best singular answer to the question about the best food for the puppy can be answered as;
- Protein – 30%
- Fat - 18%
- Vitamin E and C (preservatives)
- Omega fatty acids
The basic tenet also should be that any time you buy dog food check on the labels to find out what the nutrients offered are. When you are in doubt check with the veterinary doctor and find out what your particular dog can use for its health and what it cannot. Be sure at least that chicken is first on the label, check the protein and fatty acids level and if they meet the grade then buy it for you dog.
