Dogs mostly develop skin problems which at times might appear to be less serious, or rather taken lightly by dog owners, but the truth is that dog skin problems at times cause complications. Eczema is the name given to basic skin problems in dogs, it is a basic skin problem which causes sore and swollen skin in dogs, evaluating the cause of the skin disease is quite difficult

.

Dog skin problems are essentially caused by soreness and dermatitis that leads to irritation. What happens is that, the dog generally feels uncomfortable, scratching himself all over the body with its teeth and claws and in the long run causing hair loss and total inflammation. This kind of skin problem is called itch scratch itch style; it also causes rawness of skin, which essentially causes easy penetration of bacteria into the skin.

Some of the top symptoms for eczema include;

  • Rashes
  • Loss of hair
  • Dryness of skin
  • Scratching
  • Worms attracted by the fur, among others.

The most effective way of avoiding skin disease is increasing pet hygiene and general grooming. Regular bath and cleaning for your dog, will reduce the chances of the skin disease, it also keeps the fur as well as the skin dirt free, therefore reducing the chances of bacteria inhabitance into your skin.

Most people believe that, good grooming doesn’t help in preventing the skin disease in dogs, but only serve for cosmetic reasons; you should understand that good grooming is extremely necessary, especially if you are caring and really want your pet to be healthy.

Grooming also helps in knowing weather your dog has ticks, fleas or any other signs of disease .the number of times needed for bathing your dog is entirely based on you, but if your dog spends most of his time playing outside then you might reconsider bathe it as many times as you can,; the decision is all yours anyway.

Dogs with long far faces great chance of catching the skin disease, therefore it is important if you consider bathing them for at least once a day bath to stay fit.

On the other hand, if you dog has cute, curly fur, then they will need a bath at least 6-8 to keep them away from the skin disease.

Another problem is muscle Atrophy in the older dog is one of the problems which almost natural in every animal and in most cases causes, muscles to grow weaker and smaller as they advance with age. Basically, there are two muscle disorders in dogs which at first might appear to be like normal weaknesses but in essence are complex problems.

The first one is polymyositis which essentially causes inflammation of one of the muscles in the body. The dog feels weak and might even fall down if you take him through some exercises.
The second disorder occurs in older dogs, at the muscular dystrophy, it is similar to the muscular dystrophy that occurs in human beings.

These are just some of the basic problems with dogs, however, if you learn to take care of your dog in the right way then it will be far much better especially in avoiding such problems.
