AGGRESSIVE DOGS
Many people think that it is really exciting when you find a puppy or dog that growls and snaps at their fingers as they get close to food or toys. This might be just a picture of how this little puppy is going to be when it grows up. By doing such actions, the dog is basically showing early signs of aggressiveness and total dominance. The truth is that, the chances of the dog growing to be an aggressive one, especially to family members is almost 100%.
Aggressive dogs need to be taken care of as soon as their aggressive behavior is seen or rather shows up. To deal with aggressive dogs, you first and foremost need to understand that dogs are just a pack of animals and can appear to be as aggressive as nobody’s business. well, you will need to deal with them in a much special way, you need to display some signs of harshness mixed up with fairness, the way a dog comes to be greatly depends with the kind of people in the house, and basically how they treat the dog. That is why, you will find aggressive dogs, trying to give some bit of respect to one person, while o the other hand shows some signs of rudeness to another; it is all determined by the way you treat your dog, and how it views you as a person.
One of the important things to note with aggressive dogs is that, they might appear to be a bit stubborn. Having his pack changed is one of the exquisite things that you would do to an aggressive dog. Such a dog needs to be moved from the bottom of the list as far as pack order is concerned. this is just a general way of controlling the better part of his life, such dogs need to sleep on a pack leader, they should not at any given time be given the opportunity of sleeping anywhere in the bedroom, they never eat from the table as well, this is one of the best ways of training them the hard way.
Aggressive dogs should be taken through obedience training; this will be the first step in establishing a pack order. The obedience training sessions though should not be same as those of normal dogs, they shouldn’t be directly motivational, instead some bit of corrections should be imparted rather than just motivation. However, if you realize that the aggressiveness has gone too far, then you might consider seeking professional help.
If you realize that your dog shows any signs of aggressiveness, especially at an early age, then it is important to have him neutered at a bout six months of age, this will help in changing the behavior, this has an early impact on aggressive temperament. However, if your aim is to raise a protection dog, then you might be needed to deal with the problem in other ways, neutering an older dog, for instance at the age of 18 has less or even no effect on aggression problems.
